Clinique Gift Time - gift with purchase of $80 or more

Clinique online is doing a gift with purchase offer, valued at $138.

I have done an equilivalent strawberry net price calculation. The gift is worth approximately $84.80 based on strawberrynet prices and excluding the value of the gift bag. My detailed calculations are below.

My go to purchase from Clinique is foundation, so I've included the total saving after taking into account the premium paid on a foundation and the cheapest item required to reach $80 (liquid eyeliner).

So a total spend of $82 gets you $141.80 of products,  based on the cheapest online price (strawberrynet) available, representing a saving of $59.80.

Of course, if you don't want eyeliner, other things in the $30-$40 price range include take the day off make up remover, lip colours, mascara, dramatically different moisturiser, antiblemish solutions clearing moisturiser, and the cityblock sunscreens. Most of these items cost approximately $10 more in the Australian stores than they do online at Strawberrynet.

All in all, not a bad deal. Arguably not the best value gift with purchase they have ever done, because without the serums it's not as "valuable". But I like that almost all of the items in that pack would be useful to most people. No matter what your routine is, cleanser, moisturiser, blush, lipbalm (chubby stick) and mascara will most likely be in there somewhere.

As much as I love eyeshadows and lipsticks, after the number of gift packs I've bought, I have a lifetime supply. Although you have never have too many shades of colour to choose from, I couldn't wear every colour on a daily basis, so most of them will never get used up. And though I love the concept of magical serums, I don't really use it much. But this pack is very much back to the basics.

If you are in need of replenishing your moisturisers and so on for the winter it's a pretty good gift pack. Better get it before it runs out!

PS: There is also postage costs of $10 if your purchase is under $100. But you also get 2 additional samples from buying from the online store.  If you pick the youth surge 7ml night cream ($78 for 50 ml on Strawberrynet) and the 5 ml all about eyes sample ($41 for 15 ml on Strawberrynet), the additional samples alone are worth $20.

Clarins David Jones Gift Time

There is a great Clarins gift offer running at David Jones from 5 March to 25 March 2012. The gift is worth approximately $150

With any two Clarins products, one being skin care, you can choose one of three Gift packs, worth approximately $150. The gift packs essentially contain the same products, but for the night cream.

The cheapest Clarins skin care products are $38. The one step cleanser (200ml), which is great for removing make up or just freshening up on the run is $38. The daily energising  moisturiser (50ml) is also $38.

The following calculations are based on the Clarins USA/StrawberryNet prices, for the Age Fighers gift and purchasing the pore minimising serum and the one step cleanser. The total purchases of $90 will buy you prodcuts with a total value of $227! The Skin Illuminators gift contains the "Vital Light Night Cream - 30 ml", the Wrinkle Correctors gift contains the "Multi-Active Night Cream - 30ml" rather than the "Super restorative Night Wear - 30ml".
